Renogy Voyager 10A wiring diagram
10A positive-ground PWM controller for 12/24V banks. Catalog PV ceiling is conservatively 25V; the manual permits 55V only on a confirmed 24V bank. IP67 enclosure; follow the manual’s protected, ventilated mounting instructions.

Sized against ABYC E-11. The design current is the unit's rated output. The length is one way; voltage drop includes an equal-length return.
Run-length and manufacturer assumptions
The editable example uses 3.048 m (10 ft) runs unless a shorter run is stated. Metric overviews round these to 3 m. Adapt the parts and lengths to your installation before choosing cable and protection.
Supporting parts
- 6.1 m total of 4 mm² (11 AWG) marine cable
- Terminations for 4 mm² cable, matched to the equipment's screw terminals, leads or studs
- 15 A fuse and holder on the positive run
- Heat-shrink, strain relief and terminal boots sized to the cable
Check stud sizes, fuse type, run length and how warm the space gets against the gear you actually have before you order.

Which Voyager is covered?
These notes cover the new-edition RCC10VOYP / VOYP10, the waterproof 10 A PWM controller shown in Renogy’s 10/20 A Version 1.0 manual. It supports 12/24 V batteries and lists 130 W at 12 V / 260 W at 24 V. An earlier Voyager with different controls requires its own manual.
PV voltage depends on battery-system voltage: the specification table gives 25 V maximum Voc for a 12 V bank, and 55 V for a 24 V bank. Crimp’s single PV ceiling field cannot express the bank-dependent rating. Apply the 25 V ceiling when planning a 12 V system, including the panel’s cold-weather voltage rise.
How do the terminals and grounding work?
The four power connections map to PV + / PV − and BATT + / BATT −. The separate temperature-sensor connector is omitted. There is no LOAD output or monitoring-bus connector in the reviewed diagram.
The mechanical table identifies positive grounding. Do not assume the solar negative and battery negative can be bonded together as on a common-negative controller. Keep the PV circuit connected through its labeled controller terminals, and check the grounding arrangement of the complete installation before combining this controller with a negative-ground vehicle or boat system.
Connect the battery first, then the solar panel. The back-view wiring diagram reverses the apparent left/right order relative to a front view, so follow terminal symbols rather than copying a visual orientation.
What cable and protection information is given?
The wiring example specifies a 10 A battery fuse for the 10 A Voyager. Its solar fuse is an example tied to the illustrated array; choose actual PV protection from the panel and string ratings. Terminals accept 20–6 AWG conductors. The generic distance table is not a substitute for checking ampacity and voltage drop at 10 A, and the manual gives no numeric tightening torque.
Although the enclosure is rated IP67, the installation instructions still call for a vertical, ventilated position protected from direct sunlight, heat and water, with 150 mm above and below. The rating does not protect unfinished cable connections or authorize a sealed flooded-battery compartment.
What must be set before charging lithium?
Select Li with the battery-type button, then manually choose 12 V or 24 V and the appropriate boost voltage. The manual lists 14.2 V as the 12 V lithium default, adjustable in 0.2 V steps, with no lithium float or equalization. In 24 V Li mode, the screen still shows charging-voltage settings as 12 V values; the actual voltage is twice the displayed value. Temperature compensation excludes lithium. Verify the battery/BMS charging limits and temperature permission separately; waterproof construction does not establish low-temperature charging protection.
The catalog uses 25 V as a conservative PV ceiling because its single voltage-limit field cannot represent the bank-dependent rating. The manual permits 55 V only with a confirmed 24 V battery bank; a higher-voltage design needs that model-specific review.
