Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can wiring diagram
1000 A Lynx battery shunt with main-fuse position and VE.Can monitoring through a GX device. M8 and M10 accept CNN or MEGA on M6 bolts; M10 also permits ANL or the supplied busbar dummy with an external main fuse. No cell-level BMS protection.

Cable sizing for this example
Use the diagram as a starting point for your installation. Replace the example equipment and cable lengths with your own, and check the connections against your exact model's instructions.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Which Lynx Shunt version is covered?
The generic catalog entry represents the 1000 A Lynx Shunt VE.Can family. The M10 manual and M8 manual have different fuse arrangements. Confirm the actual joint size: M8 and M10 modules do not connect directly.
This is a battery monitor and main-fuse location. It does not provide the cell monitoring or protective contactor of a Lynx Smart BMS.
Where must battery and system connections go?
In the normal upright arrangement, BATT+ / BATT− are the battery side on the left; BUS+ / BUS− are the load/charger side on the right. The positive path passes through the main fuse and the negative path through the measuring shunt.
Every charging and load return must cross the shunt. Put the GX device's supply on the system side as the manual shows. Bypassing the negative shunt with a direct charger, ground connection or accessory return produces incomplete current and state-of-charge readings.
Which fuse actually fits?
M10 printed page 12 permits CNN or ANL, and MEGA on the M6 bolts. It also permits the supplied solid fuse dummy when the main fuse is installed externally. The dummy is a conductor, not a protective device.
M8 Rev 08 printed page 11 specifies CNN, and also expressly permits MEGA on the M6 bolts. Do not transfer the M10 ANL or external-fuse-dummy arrangement to an M8 unit without model-specific approval.
The 1000 A busbar rating does not select the fuse. Check the exact fuse's dimensions, DC voltage, current/time characteristic and interrupt rating for the battery system. The housing alone has no universal fuse breaking-capacity rating.
What is required beyond the four main terminals?
Connect VE.Can to a compatible GX device for readout and configuration, terminating both ends of the CAN chain. RJ10 can power adjacent Lynx Distributor electronics; the optional alarm relay and polarity-sensitive temperature-sensor connector are separate circuits, not battery terminals.
Set bank capacity, chemistry-appropriate monitor settings and any relay thresholds before relying on state of charge. Confirm current direction and synchronisation after charging. The drawing omits these data/sensor connections and the actual fuse selection.
The M10 manual's mechanical torque instruction has a blank value, so obtain the supplied hardware's torque specification rather than copying an unrelated module's figure. M8 instructions publish 14 N·m for M8 joints. Keep exposed busbar ends insulated and verify polarity before fitting the fuse, which can energise the assembly immediately.

Describe your setup to draft a system with Lynx Shunt VE.Can connected. Review the selected parts and cable lengths, then edit the diagram in Crimp.
The model only picks parts and draws the connections. Every wire size and fuse rating still comes from Crimp's own sizing, never from the model.
