Victron BatteryProtect 100 wiring diagram
Programmable 12/24 V disconnect, 100 A continuous up to 40 °C, with a 6–35 V operating range. Current must flow IN to OUT: battery to loads, or charger to battery in a separate charge-disconnect circuit. Control inverters through their remote input; do not route their main DC feed through this unit.

Cable sizing for this example
Use the diagram as a starting point for your installation. Replace the example equipment and cable lengths with your own, and check the connections against your exact model's instructions.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Which BatteryProtect is this?
This is the BatteryProtect 12/24V-100A, programmed with its PROG and GND pins. Use the BP-100 specification column in the manual. The similarly named Smart BatteryProtect has different programming options; the filename of Victron's PDF includes "Smart", but its cover and instructions identify the non-Smart BatteryProtect.
The BP-100 carries 100 A continuously at ambient temperatures up to 40 °C. The manual derates operation at 50 °C to 60% of nominal load. It lists 600 A peak without specifying a duration, so that figure does not establish an inverter-starting allowance. The operating range is 6-35 V; its M8 connections use 9 N·m torque.
How do IN and OUT connect?
For load protection, connect battery positive through a suitable fuse to IN, and connect OUT to the protected DC loads. Current may flow only from IN to OUT. For a separate charger-disconnect installation, the charger positive instead goes to IN and the battery to OUT. One unit cannot serve both directions, and reverse current damages it.
Crimp shows the two main studs. The real unit also needs its separate GND connection: the supplied 1.5 mm² wire goes directly to battery negative or vehicle chassis, serves no other equipment, and needs protection; Victron specifies that a 300 mA fuse is sufficient. Remote, alarm and programming connections are not shown on the canvas. See manual sections 3.1-3.3 for these circuits.
Mount with ventilation, preferably within 50 cm of the battery and away from gases above it. The main battery fuse must suit the cable and installation; the manual does not prescribe a universal BP-100 fuse size.
What must be configured before connecting loads?
Leave OUT disconnected until programming is complete. The unit remembers its initial 12 V or 24 V detection; setting d repeats detection when moving it to another system. The factory thresholds are 10.5 V disconnect and 12 V reconnect for a 12 V bank, doubled for 24 V. Choose thresholds for the battery rather than assuming those defaults suit it.
Mode C requires an external BMS control signal. In that mode the unit's own undervoltage thresholds and alarm are disabled. A drop-in lithium battery without a load/charge-disconnect signal uses mode A or B instead.
Do not put an inverter or inverter/charger's main DC feed through the BatteryProtect. Victron requires control through the inverter's remote on/off port instead; see manual section 3.2.

Describe your setup to draft a system with BatteryProtect 100 connected. Review the selected parts and cable lengths, then edit the diagram in Crimp.
The model only picks parts and draws the connections. Every wire size and fuse rating still comes from Crimp's own sizing, never from the model.
