Cable sizing for this example
Use the diagram as a starting point for your installation. Replace the example equipment and cable lengths with your own, and check the connections against your exact model's instructions.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Which Renogy monitor is this?
This is the RBM500 wired battery monitor, with a 500 A shunt, LCD, 6 m shielded display cable and 1 m, 20 AWG B+ lead. It works with 10–120 V lithium, lead-acid and nickel-metal-hydride batteries. It measures voltage and current and calculates remaining capacity; its 500 A shunt rating is not a 500 Ah battery-size limit. The configurable capacity range is 0.1–9999 Ah. See Renogy's official manual download page and its Version 3.1 manual, printed pages 1–2 and 8.
How do Crimp's labels map to the shunt?
Connect BATT − to the physical B− stud and the battery bank's negative. Connect LOAD − to P−, carrying both load and charger negative returns. Every charge/discharge path must cross the shunt; install it in the negative circuit only.
B+ sense connects battery positive to either of the shunt's small B+ terminals, using the supplied lead or the manual's 0.3–0.75 mm² wire range. The two B+ positions are alternative connections for the same monitored bank. The shielded cable connects shunt to display and is omitted from the canvas. See the wiring diagram, printed page 4.
How is state of charge initialized?
Hold OK for three seconds to open settings, then set CAP to the battery's effective capacity; it defaults to 100 Ah. On first use or after replacing the battery, synchronize the reading using the full-capacity operation after fully charging the bank. The initial percentage is not automatically the battery's real charge level.
Full V forces 100% above its threshold, and Zero V forces 0% below its threshold. Both default to 0 V, which disables them; Renogy says to leave them unset unless the battery's voltage characteristics are known. PowOff blanks the display below its threshold—it is not a battery load-disconnect function. See settings, printed pages 5–7.
What helps with installation and diagnosis?
The display cutout is 94 × 57 mm. Protect the LCD from prolonged direct sun; the specified temperature range is −10 to 60°C. A backlight that blinks while a load discharges the battery indicates reversed B−/P− wiring. See installation and troubleshooting, printed pages 4 and 8.

Describe your setup to draft a system with RBM500 connected. Review the selected parts and cable lengths, then edit the diagram in Crimp.
The model only picks parts and draws the connections. Every wire size and fuse rating still comes from Crimp's own sizing, never from the model.
