Monitoring
Balmar SG200 wiring diagram
Battery monitor with a 350 A (max continuous) IP67 shunt for 12–48 V systems. The display and shunt communicate over the SG200 network, which supports additional displays and shunts.

Cable sizing for this example
Use the diagram as a starting point for your installation. Replace the example equipment and cable lengths with your own, and check the connections against your exact model's instructions.
Cable sizes depend on the connected equipment, current and cable lengths. Add those details in Crimp to size each run.

Which SG200 kit is represented here?
The standard SG200 includes a SmartShunt, color display, 10 m SmartLink cable and 60-inch fused positive lead. One shunt monitors one bank's current, state of charge and state of health; two extra leads measure auxiliary-battery voltage. Smartphone access requires the optional SG2-0300 Bluetooth gateway. See the kit contents and gateway description, printed pages 8 and 14.
Where do the three canvas terminals connect?
Crimp's BATT − maps to the shunt's BATT stud, connected by a short cable to the monitored bank's negative. LOAD − maps to CABLE, where all load and charging returns belong. A direct battery-negative connection bypasses measurement. B+ sense represents the supplied positive power lead; fit its supplied fuse only after completing the installation.
Mount the shunt in a dry location near the battery on a flat, nonconductive surface: the underside of its cable bolts is uninsulated. The battery lug contacts the shunt face directly, followed by the washer and nut. See location requirements, printed page 8 and installation steps, printed pages 10–11.
What limits and omitted connections matter?
The published rating is 350 A continuous at 24°C, or 600 A for 10 minutes. The supply range is 8–60 V for nominal 12–48 V banks. These ratings do not choose your main battery fuse or cable size. The shunt is IP67, but the display is IP65 from the front only; these ratings do not override the manual's dry-location requirement for the assembly. See specifications, printed pages 27–28.
The canvas omits SmartLink and the two auxiliary inputs: AUX-1 is orange, AUX-2 orange/black. Each auxiliary positive lead needs its own fuse close to the battery; these fuses are not supplied. SmartLink devices form a chain, not a loop, with up to 32 devices. Restart network power after adding a device. Follow printed pages 11–13.
What must be configured before trusting capacity readings?
Set BAT. TYPE and CAPACITY; the defaults are AGM-STD and 100 Ah. Enter the entire bank's original design capacity, not a reduced estimate for aged batteries. The monitor learns actual capacity over charge/discharge cycles, and reselecting chemistry or changing design capacity clears that learning. Replacing the bank calls for a factory reset. See first-use setup, printed pages 16–21 and reset behavior, page 26.

Connect it to the rest of your system.
Describe your setup to draft a system with SG200 connected. Review the selected parts and cable lengths, then edit the diagram in Crimp.
The model only picks parts and draws the connections. Every wire size and fuse rating still comes from Crimp's own sizing, never from the model.
