24 V panel Vmp
- Wire
- 1.5 mm² · 16 AWG
- Example fuse
- 15 A
- Design current
- 8.5 A
- Voltage drop
- 2.5%
Sized against ABYC E-11. The design current is the part's continuous draw. The length is one way; voltage drop includes an equal-length return.
Run-length and manufacturer assumptions
The editable example uses 3.048 m (10 ft) runs unless a shorter run is stated. Metric overviews round these to 3 m. Adapt the parts and lengths to your installation before choosing cable and protection.
Supporting parts
- 6.1 m total of 1.5 mm² (16 AWG) marine cable
- Terminations for 1.5 mm² cable, matched to the equipment's screw terminals, leads or studs
- 15 A fuse and holder on the positive run
- Heat-shrink, strain relief and terminal boots sized to the cable
Check stud sizes, fuse type, run length and how warm the space gets against the gear you actually have before you order.

Identify Yuma 200 and the mounting version
The Yuma 200 CIGS manual has separate adhesive and drilled variants. Both share 200 W, 24 V Vmp, 8.52 A Imp, 30.4 V Voc and 9.48 A Isc, each electrical figure shown with ±5% tolerance. This matches the catalog electrical values. The older generic CIGS manual has different ratings and is not used for this Yuma row. See electrical table, printed page 12.
Both variants are 1.5 mm thick, correcting the earlier 2.5 mm description. Adhesive Yuma 200 is 2087.5 × 660 mm, 3.83 kg; drilled Yuma 200 is 2102.5 × 689 mm, 2.7 kg. Confirm which mounting version was supplied before laying out the roof.
Connect through a compatible solar input
The system diagrams, printed pages 9–10, show a charge controller between the module and battery, or a compatible power station solar input. For a 12 V house battery, an MPPT controller can use the panel's higher working voltage; confirm its PV voltage/current limits before wiring.
Series connection adds module voltage; parallel connection adds current. Verify polarity from the actual marked leads and use compatible connectors and protected extensions. A plug adapter changes the connector interface, not the receiving device's electrical limits. Isolate the load before separating connectors.
Check cold voltage and missing fuse data
The exact Yuma table gives −0.28%/°C Voc temperature coefficient and 1000 V maximum module-system voltage. Apply cold-temperature correction and the stated voltage tolerance to the complete series string before comparing it with the controller's limit.
The reviewed Yuma manual does not publish a maximum series-fuse rating. Do not import the old generic CIGS panel's fuse value or read Crimp's 15 A terminal allowance as that missing specification. Obtain the actual label/manufacturer limit before arranging parallel strings and selecting reverse-current protection.
Support the laminate and preserve output
Use the supplied mounting method for the adhesive or drilled version. The adhesive instruction describes removing the backing film before attachment; it does not validate every roof coating, adhesive substrate or vehicle installation. Confirm surface preparation and attachment requirements before permanent bonding.
The manual says to roll with the solar face outward; rolling inward can damage the panel. Avoid sharp creases, unsupported cable strain and walking loads. Keep the surface clear of dirt and persistent shadows. The troubleshooting pages 14–15 explain why heat, shading, orientation and the connected controller can reduce measured output below the 200 W laboratory rating.
Fit check
Connect it to the rest of your system.
Describe your setup to draft a system with Yuma 200 (CIGS) connected. Review the selected parts and cable lengths, then edit the diagram in Crimp.
The model only picks parts and draws the connections. Every wire size and fuse rating still comes from Crimp's own sizing, never from the model.
